More than 13,000 YouChoose.net members have signed a petition posted by one of our members to get Passions shown on NBC.com. They succeeded. Passions was officially returned to NBC.com, but the fight still rages, fans are being charged $19.95 per month to access the show on NBC.com. It is a high price that is difficult to justify for most of the Passion fans.

On Monday, September 3, 2007, Steve Fossett, the first person to fly a plane solo around the world without refueling and the first person to fly around the world in a balloon, went missing in Nevada. The airplane he was flying failed to return. No one has any idea where he is.

A Campaign was launched to assist law enforcement officers by reviewing online aerial photos of the area for his plane. The forum participation was overwhelming. The passion of our members was self evident with hundreds of postings. It was a tremendous flurry of activity with members helping members try to locate Steve Fossett and posting coordinates for other members to double check, knowing their coordinates were being sent to the Nevada search team. YouChoose Campaign was the largest controlled group actively searching for Steve Fossett.

While most YouChoose members were content to do their part in the search by viewing aerial images, YouChoose.net achieved notoriety when some of its members were caught crisscrossing the Nevada desert in their private planes as reported by AP News Source.

Pledge: Blu-Ray vs HD DVD
- Sponsored by Mike D.

The "Blu-ray vs. HD DVD" pledge campaign on YouChoose.net asked its members to vote for the format they prefer, but with a twist. Unlike a simple vote, the YouChoose Blu-ray vs. HD DVD campaign has them PLEDGE TO PURCHASE ONLY THE FORMAT THAT WINS THE VOTE.

"If enough people pledge to support the winning format on YouChoose.net," says Mike Dever, Sponsor of the Campaign and co-founder of YouChoose.net, "the format war will end, as this is a 'winner take all' campaign." "We really see this as a great application of social networking, bringing people together to 'take action.' In fact, it was this format war that led me to develop YouChoose.net in the first place."
