Description:

Dark Knight’s success was expected, and if you were lucky enough to see the movie you probably are still experiencing the after effects of the late Heath Ledger’s terrifying performance as the “Joker”. An Oscar nomination is inevitable for Ledger and I think it is safe (and sad) to say that he is the James Dean of this generation.

Only one star has won an Oscar from beyond the grave (Peter Finch, Network in '76) so we shall see if the statue will go to Heath early next year. I have not read one bad review of Ledger… even The New Yorker gave him a rave (and that says a lot). With all due respect, this is one hellava way to go out.

Sign this petition if you feel that Heath Ledger's performance as "The Joker" deserves an Oscar.

hell yeah definatly

this was one of his best!even though he is no longer alive his career will always be remembered.this is going to be the role everyone will be talking about for years to come.he deserves it for his performance not just for the fact that it was his last film.GIVE HEATH THE OSCAR!!

even if ledger was alive he deserves an oscar for the terrifying performance on screen. ppl r not doing this out of sympathy but for true recognition of an actors work.

He deserves to win, it was the best interpretation of the year.

of course HEATHE!!

Heath´s Joker? unbelievable performance.. Heath you´re the best..

Heath Ledger was perfect as the Joker! He truely deserves an Oscar for the performance.

Most definatley Heath should win an oscar.

Heath Ledger merece um oscar concerteza! Ótima atuação em The Dark Knight, roubou a cena do Batman e fez um coringa psicopata como ninguém jamais fez. Superou Nicholson!

I'm a movie maniac, and I have to say, Heath Ledger as the Joker was...... amazing. If he does not get the Oscar, then something is seriously wrong with them. And it's not just because of his death that makes me say this; I was saying the same thing after the movie and so was everyone else I know that saw it, and I didn't even find out that he was dead until a week after I saw it. (The TV news shows in Indonesia use hand cameras, and I don't think they would have been able to take a picture of Heath Ledger. Don't even get me started by saying they could have used the internet.)
