STOP WHALING!
The little girl who posted this discussion is right. What bothers me the most is that no one get's it, you can't keep killing these great giants of the sea or sharks or any other marine life & believe that 10-20 years from now the sea's won't be just about empty of any type of fish to consume. So again for me it is about the whales, who are so majestic and the seals, dolphins, sharks - all of them - I want to shake people & just yell "STOP THE KILLING", but then people think I'm a left wing animals rights advocate (which I am), so I opt for logic. If you keep killing these creatures there won't be any to mate, meaning it will be the end of a species, meaning there won't be any to hunt in a few years, meaning you will have a problem feeding your people, meaning look to the future. As for meat, I very rarely eat meat, seldom have - it actually makes me sick thinking some animal has been mistreated in some stinking factory so I can fill my belly. It's one thing to raise them for human consumption, it's another to make there short life agonizing.
China could say we are wrong killing cattle for food. I would love to see the slaughter of whales, baby seals and dolphins stopped but I do eat hamburgers so doesn't that make me a hypocrite?
Like slaughtering the dolphins-this is just wrong and sensles...thus it has to stop otherwise we and future generations will lose these beautiful animals and the chance to see them out in the wild, forever.
Killing Whales is cruel? What about evrything else you and i kill? Evrytime you move around you probably kill some sort of life without even thinking about it. All the meat you eat comes from an animal, and vegetables are life too. Whales are peaceful and harmless animals... you should tune in on Discovery once in a while or read on the internet about how "peaceful" whales and dolphins really are. There is so much ignorance here and protecting an animal just because its "cute" or "harmless" is just wrong. Grow up and start realise as long "humans" walk this earth noone and nothing will be save(d). Where i come from we have lots of whales and we love them. We have strict rules how many and by what means we can harvest them. Just because we hunt on them doesnt mean we dont love them and care for them. Its just like wildlife in general. There is no country in this world that doesnt harvest on their wildlife. And most wildlife doesnt harm people so why do we hunt at all?
wow you are a **** **** for writing that comment and dont call us ignorant. killing animals for food is cruel and disgusting. yes when we walk we may step on a bug when we drivewe may kill many bugs and yes technically veggies are alive too. but vegtable have no nerve so they do not think or feel. we have grown and evolved to the point where we can easily live a good and much healthier life on vegtables, soy, nuts and other things without having to kill an animal. the nasty things they do to these animals in order to eat them is so cruel, just looking at the pictures wil make you want to vomite. yet we humans find ourselffs to be so superior that other lives dont seem to count. yes there is such a thing and survival of the fittest, but humans are using their advantages to kill this earth and the only creatures in it that are keeping ti alive. you can **** buy lady bugs at a store???wtf thats just beyond messed up. choosing your own lobster at a restaurant? using tubes to over feed birds like chickens. hunting for fun. watching dog fighting for entartainment. i mean what the **** are thse people its all just so ignorant i am just out of **** words.we arnt just damaging and killing this planet we are horrifyingly torturing it in the process. i just dont undersand how torturing aand killing a dog is any different than dumping babies in trashcans they are all the same. both are innocent and incapable of fighting back. the reaction we have to seeing a dead adult human body opposed to a dead animal body is just not right we should mourn the animal more. us humans have a greater chance of protecting ourselves we are not bred from birth to be killed we have a chance to survive most of these animals have no chance at all. and all these dogs just see the good in people no matter how cruel the owner its just so sickening and to have someone go and say nasty things about animals. they are jsut struggling to survive, if they kill us its not for joy or entertainment its to live. we do it for the **** hell of it and thats the sick thing. and so **** hypocritical.

Whales are extraordinary creatures that deserve the right to live without a human threat. Humans are killing them in more ways than one; the "Navy Sonar" experiments also needs to stop NOW! Kudos to you Hannah and everyone else who has posted a comment.
I feel killing whales for their oil and meat is very unhumane, whales and dolphins in general serve a purpose ,in the waters and we have no right to invade their territory. I know the governments have helped in this situation but not to the point of them being slaughtered,I also feel there should be regulations to illegal dumping of oil, in the waters ,I feel their should be more police patrolling in our great waters so this way of life which is cruel and uncalled for can be stopped.
Whaling is so cruel not only are they killing majestic marine life but they dont even care that they are doing it. I'm sorry to say this but anyone who eats whale i hope you choke
